About Serving at Mountain View

About Serving at Mountain View

Our Heart

One of the primary ways of connecting into the life of Mountain View is to serve. Our desire is to help believers discover how God has uniquely wired them with gifts, talents and passions and equip them to magnify God by serving in their church, city and world. Our hope is that we would cultivate the same attitude described in Philippians 2:3, doing "nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility counting others more significant than ourselves."

As you feel led to call MVBC your church home, service will inevitably become a part of your life's worship. The first place your service will been seen tangibly is in your weekly Connection Group. Here you can practice being the hands and feet of Christ to those in your immediate weekly fellowship, meeting their needs in prayer, accountability, fellowship, and acts of service helps. We pray that, in serving here, God will mature and strengthen your gifts and create in you a servant's heart that will bleed into all areas of your life.

Once your are connected and plugged in to a weekly fellowship you will be able to branch out in your service ministry. Permit God to guide you into the ministry He has created and designed for you to serve in. Don't be afraid to step out and try something new. He will always enable you to do what He calls you to do.

The following are some questions to ask yourself to determine if you are experiencing the life God has for you in serving His church:

  • Am I willing to answer the call to ministry, even in the smallest of ways?
  • Am I using my time and talents to accomplish the ministry God has for me?
  • Am I living a life of gratitude by joyfully donating a portion of my time and talent back to God?

If you would like more information on how to get involved in serving at Mountain View please email us with you questions or comments.
